The Belene NPP project is an optimal combination of several features - increased economic efficiency, shortened construction terms, competitive electricity prices and a long design lifetime, while safety and protection of the people and the environment remain a top priority.

The A-92 project is an evolutionary project that uses the best of the accumulated decades of experience in the design and operation of such reactors and combines it with the latest technology solutions and unique innovations.

The design follows the latest international and national requirements, taking into account the current guidelines of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the requirements of European nuclear operators for state-of-the-art reactors and the guidelines of the Association of European Nuclear Safety Regulators reference safety levels of nuclear installations in the European Union.
