RAW management systems

TECHNOLOGY SYSTEMS

In addition to the traditional ion exchange systems for purification of radioactively contaminated water, the following main systems are envisaged, based on highly efficient modern technologies:

Liquid RAW processing system including evaporator installation, installation for cementation of concentrated RAW and their packaging in containers.
Solid RAW processing system, including a plasma combustion system for combustible RAW and a system for pressing non-combustible RAW.

The volume reduction achieved by the plasma combustion system is 50 to 100 times, depending on the type of combustible RAW. The final product after incineration is a glassy mass, which is packed in containers. The gases from the combustion process are purified in various types of high-efficiency filter systems.
